I realize that I have posted One Hundred and Eleven times, this being the 112th. I’ve had over 600 visitors, usually around fifteen a day. Now, this is nothing compared to some blogs that receive over Five Billion a day, but it’s pretty substantial for my third month. I’m really trying to get the message out to other people. So TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW! I know that I’ve been doing more advertising than posting, and posting is supposed to be about me, so that’s what I’m going to do.Today I read an article about Religion. I am an atheist, but I respect that some people have other beliefs. (That took two of three tries to spell, even with spell check.) The article was by Sam Harris, author of The End of Faith: Religion, Terror, and the Future of Reason and Letter to a Christian Nation. The Full Article can be found here. The quote goes:

The truth is, there is not a person on Earth who has a good reason to believe that Jesus rose from the dead or that Muhammad spoke to the angel Gabriel in a cave. And yet billions of people claim to be certain about such things.
- Sam Harris, God’s Dupes, L.A. Times

And yes, this is true. I wish no harm to believers, because although they start wars, they also help the poor. There are better reasons to do so than an “imaginary friend.”

That’s all on that subject.

My finger is still in a splint, so it’s especially hard to write, and writing is an essential part of daily life. So I carry around an Alphasmart. It’s basically a keyboard with a screen. A tiny one. Then I plug it into my computer at home and it transfers the text. It’s great because it’s so much easier than writing, and because I can type so quickly, it’s faster, too.
